When a bear leaves a wallet because BURR was sold, it doesn't disappear. It waits in the BURR contract's pool for the next buyer.
how it works
Sell BURR and drop below the BURR your bears need, and your most recent awake bear goes into the pool.
Buy enough BURR to cross a whole 10,001, and you get a bear from the pool.
Sending BURR straight to another wallet hands your released bears to that wallet first. Only what it can't take goes to the pool.
If the pool is empty, a buy brings BURR without a bear. Once the pool has bears again, you can turn each whole 10,001 into a bear from the Den.
bears keep their traits
A bear in the pool keeps its number and its art. The next buyer gets that same bear.
last in, first out
The pool is a stack: the last bear in is the first bear out.
Sell and rebuy right away? You'll probably get the same bear back.
Wait while others sell? You'll likely pull a different one.
The burn pool tool shows which bears are next out and which of yours would leave first. You can buy straight from it, or swap: pick bears of yours to give up and bears near the top of the pool to take, see the cost first, and sign each step in your own wallet.
Buy: type an exact BURR amount. You set a slippage limit (0.5%, 1% or 2%; 1% by default) and see the most you pay before you sign. If the bears a buy would bring change before you send, the tool asks again.
Swap: because the pool is last in, first out, every bear above your deepest pick comes out too and is sold straight back. The sheet lists them, with the buy and sell quotes and the pool fee.
A swap buys first and sells last, so your wallet needs enough ETH for the buy up front. The tool checks this and tells you how much to add.
Hibernating bears and bears still locked from Bring a Bear can't be given up in a swap.
Tip:Hibernating bears never go into the pool. Hibernate your favorites in the Den before you trade.
